At the conclusion of the Fifth Meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, representatives from the region committed to redoubling efforts to effectively implement the 2030 Agenda. Authorities and delegates also paid a heartfelt tribute to Alicia Bárcena, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary.
At the conclusion of the fourth meeting of the Forum of the Countries on Sustainable Development, government representatives reaffirmed the dire urgency of building fair, sustainable societies that would tackle inequality and guarantee citizenship and rights, and of acting together as a region to ensure access to vaccines for the entire population.
Authorities, international officials and civil society representatives participated in a panel dedicated to the subregion during the fourth meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development.
At a side event to the Forum of the Countries on Sustainable Development 2021, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary, Alicia Bárcena, urged the region to act with a single voice to promote healthier, more sustainable and more equitable food systems.
