Eradicating Poverty in All its Forms is the Greatest Challenge Today and Constitutes an Indispensable Requirement for Sustainable Development

At the conclusion of the Fifth Meeting of the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development, representatives from the region committed to redoubling efforts to effectively implement the 2030 Agenda. Authorities and delegates also paid a heartfelt tribute to Alicia Bárcena, ECLAC’s Executive Secretary.

Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean Commit to Implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Building Forward Better

At the conclusion of the fourth meeting of the Forum of the Countries on Sustainable Development, government representatives reaffirmed the dire urgency of building fair, sustainable societies that would tackle inequality and guarantee citizenship and rights, and of acting together as a region to ensure access to vaccines for the entire population.
