The Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, the Government of Costa Rica and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, are convening a high-level event focused on practical policies and actions that can be taken to deliver equality and inclusion in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

This event will
• Identify the opportunities to build more inclusive societies and tackle rising inequality
• Highlight features of inequality and exclusion in the region, and its linkages with other challenges in achieving the 2030 Agenda and forging a renewed social contract
• Present practical and politically viable policy recommendations for dealing with the growing problems of inequality and exclusion within and between countries, based on the findings of the Pathfinders flagship report, “From Rhetoric to Action: Delivering Equality and Inclusion”
• Highlight steps that governments have instituted towards inclusive recovery from COVID-19
