Minister of Economy of Guatemala

Minister Gabriela García is an expert with more than 25 years of experience in economic development at the local and regional levels. She holds a Master's degree in Development Project Management and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from American University in Washington D.C. Her career includes leadership in the formulation of programs to promote trade and attract foreign direct investment, as well as prominent roles in organizations such as USAID. Additionally, she has extensive academic training, including a Master's degree in Development Administration and a diploma in Management of Non-Governmental Organizations. Beyond her professional work, she has been active in volunteering related to child protection and human development. García has been recognized as a Fellow of Central America Forward (Centro América Adelante) and a Vital Voices Leadership Fellow, among other notable achievements.
